Working Out with Hip Pain - Recumbent Bike?

I have a doctor's appointment scheduled soon for hip pain. I hurt myself right before Christmas, took a week off working out, have since changed my workouts to make them lower impact, but the pain is worsening. Until my appointment, would the recumbent bike be a good choice? I've never used that particular machine and wondered if it would potentially aggravate that area more. Or, if you were me, would you just stop working out til after the doc?

I personally love the recumbent bike.. I have worked my way up now to gear 13. it has many different intervals and it can really make for a great workout.. I work out on it 6 days a week and its my main thing to do at the gym0
