Detox cleanse and exercise

Hello! I am planning to to Dr. Oz's three day detox cleanse and am wondering if I should not be working out during those three days or at least doing something very low impact. The cleanse is basically 3-4 drinks a day filled with healthy fruits and veggies. Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Dr Quack, er, I mean Oz has no idea what he's talking about. Your body doesn't need cleansing other than having a shower. It works very well on it's own. Eat good food within your budget and forget about Dr Quack.0

You can still exercise like normal, but if you start feeling light headed/dizzy, you should obviously stop and/or do something less strenuous.
Personally, I think the only good cleanse/detox is a 3-30 day fast consuming nothing but 1-2 gallons of water a day.
[Edit]
For those who think cleansing isn't necessary; your body/colon can get stuff stuck in it, even if you're eating plenty of fiber. You still continue to poop even after having just water for weeks and in several cases, people have reported full pieces of food coming out in their bowel movement.0 -

Skip the cleanse, eat your calories, drink plenty of water, and exercise.0 -

I'll triple it. Dr. Oz is a quack who panders to women looking for quick fixes and miracle solutions. Cleanses are not necessary. That's what your liver and kidneys are for and they do a fabulous job. Not too mention 3 days of juice = diarrhea  Spend your money on some super healthy foods and create a balanced meal plan or join a fitness class or gym or buy some work out DVD's, get a massage....just don't throw away money on Dr. Oz remedies!!0 -

Got any actual science to back up those claims?0 -

Also, google is your friend. I don't feel like finding and compiling a list of links from various pages and Youtube stories that I've read/watched over YEARS of researching this very topic.0 -

It's common courtesy that when you make a claim you support it with documentation and research. No need to get so upset about that.
And your anecdote about pooping a piece of broccoli doesn't mean cleanses work. It means you can't digest broccoli for some reason.0 -

My poop is always just poop (well, okay sometimes corn kernels). Would you really recommend fasting for 30 days with just water to someone youknow nothing about? What do you think your liver and kidneys are there for??? If you have food left whole in your colon - I recommened chewing more.0 -

This.
Agreed, unless something went wrong, your body has kidneys, intestines, and a colon to take care of the cleansing. However, it's my experience that some hiit my help to move things along a bit.0 -
Personal experience, after eating nothing and drinking water for 2 weeks, you explain pooping out a piece of broccoli (or something leafy and green).

That would be a resounding NO.
And if you're pooping out chunks of broccoli, you need to chew better.0 -

By all means, if you have any peer reviewed medical research you can point me to, please do. If you are relying on Google and YouTube for your information you are doomed to a lifetime of ignorance fueled by false information.
After consuming nothing but water for 2 weeks what you likely saw (first you said lettuce, then changed it to broccoli) was likely mucus from the lining of your digestive tract.0 -

If you pooped out a piece of broccoli, obviously your body isn't doing what it should to break down said piece of broccoli. Yes, broccoli is fairly high in lignin, so it might not all break down, but it should be obviously deteriorated (ie - kinda like corn poops).
Not to mention what you said "eating nothing and drinking water for 2 weeks" is EXTREMELY unhealthy. Where are your basic nutrients coming from? Do you even have any energy to do daily tasks?? Sounds like the easiest way to become malnourished!0 -
