Sneaker advice

The problem... myself, and my daughter are both flat footed. Wearing a shoe with an arch for even a little while is more painfull on my back than 10 hours in a pair of 3inch heels.
I wear steel toe sneakers to work that have no arch... specifically sketchers... as much as I adore my girled out steel toes obviously they are not ment for exercise, and I actually have to wear a pair of heels to work one day out of every 14, because the sneakers eventually pay a toll on my back. (if you think this is weird, don't worry.. so do I)
PIA of the matter is that I've been to an *kitten* ton of stores looking for runnning/ walking sneakers designed without an arch, and CAN NOT find any. Or at least I can't find any store that has an employee with that much knowledge. I'm not rich, I can't afford an expensive sneaker for myself and my daughter, I'd like to stay under 40$ a pair if possible.
SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!

Google and find a store in your area that specializes in running. Even if you don't run.
It is well worth the time and money to have yourself properly fitted for the right pair of shoes.
I had an issue where evey pair if sneakers I bought gave me blisters. After everything failing, a friend suggested that I get properly fitted. Most places now don't actually train people on the right shoe for your weight, foot and intentions.
I thought I would pay more for a fancy shoe (or the service at the least) but was surprised. We tried about 6 or 7 pairs and I walked out for less than $80.00.0
