I'll be 24 soon. Trying to figure out a good daily vitamin for girls my age. I really have no ideas. Only vitamin I've ever taken is prenatal. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Not to sound preachy, but with proper nutrition there is really no need for a daily vitamin. I get well over 100% of RDA on pretty much every vitamin in just what I eat.0

Ya, I usually do pretty good. I at least get close to my daily goal or over. Some days like when I am out and about all day I find it harder. But I have heard with the working out you need extra vitamins too. So just trying to get opinions and ideas.0

I have done a lot of different supplements and there are 3 that I have come to love. Natures Way makes a good whole food daily, Katalyst make an awesome joint supplement, and a female vitamin that made a huge difference in my skin. You can find them here: http://www.katalystnutraceuticals.com/katalyst/products/forher
and http://www.katalystnutraceuticals.com/katalyst/products/recovery/joint They are really great.0 -
If you workout you need more of every nutrient from healthy fats, proteins and carbs (all of which supply calories) to antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. If you increase your food/ calorie intake and stick with the recommended 10% of daily calories as processed/ junk/ sugary/ refined/ rubbish you should be automatically increasing your micronutrient intake. There is no scientific evidence that multis are of any use at all unless you have a disease of absorption or malnutrition or the like.
Many nutrients are best absorbed from food anyway. Just carry healthy snacks like dried fruit, nuts and seeds when you are out and about, you can even store these in your car. The rest of the time eat plenty of oily fish, fruit, veggies, nuts, seeds, beans, lentils, reduced fat dairy and so on.0
