This question is in regards to men who have ladies in the house (especially little ladies)

Leave it up or put it down?

    Always put it down.....seat and lid. Guys pull both lid up.....girls lift lid up. Put down when you are done.

    When we first went to housekeeping together we fought over up or down, the compromise was everything (including the lid) down.

    We did it this way after getting our first puppy...She went for a swim and came out blue!

    Stayed that way until we started potty training our little lady and you need the lid up and the seat down. Many times we even have the potty seat on the seat ready for her so as with everything else...the little lady gets priority.

    When she's old enough to do it all on her own without fail. The lid goes back down.

    Down is the fair position. Women only sit, men sit AND stand therefore the seat should be left down as it is the common denominator.

    I think it makes more sense to put it down when you're finished, but that's just me.

    Women have to sit for both, and men have to sit down for one out of two. So there's more sitting than standing. Therefore, down.
