Hi!
Never had to diet...until now!
I'm 5ft 7, always been either too thin at 8.5stone, or just right at 9.5stone. Met a bloke, and piled it on! Now 11stone (wanted to smash the scales in Boots up with my handbag!)
Advice and weight-loss success/failure stories needed!
Inspire me!!

Welcome. I think if you have the mindset of a lifestyle and eating habit change instead of a diet, you'll be better off. Also, read this thread to help you figure out your goals and how to achieve them better.

Thank you
I've always been lucky enough to be able to eat whatever I wanted without piling the weight on. So, I eat alot and the word 'diet' scares me. I'm thinking, stick to eating as much as I need to feel full, but change what I eat. I've stocked up on Quorn, veg and cup-a-soups (thought a 50cal soup would be better than a cup of tea, keep hunger at bay!)
Will read thread, thank you0 -
have a look at the success stories threads too, move, eat well=it comes off. I piled on weight (although not for the first time) when I met my guy, we dined out, we had take aways, we snuggled in, and I wore it all!! Good for you for joining :happy:0

cups of soup may be 50 calories but they also dont provide nutrients u need. maybe look online at the foods u like and see the recommended amounts as opposed to changing so many things that u normally do. thats how people mess up, they overwhelm themselves with new foods and exercise that becomes more like a burden then a life style. good luck to u!0

Hi harribeau2012
Yes, the cons of being content and happy! So unfair haha. I'm looking all over the site like an excited child! It can be depressing and lonely to feel awful about yourself, it has filled me with lots of confidence to succeed being on a site with people who also have to work at getting/keeping it off. Thanks for posting x
Hey pinkmon_star,
I didn't make myself clear regarding the cup-a-soups, I wasn't thinking of using them to replace meals/food- just as a way to stop myself snacking on 'evil' foods. I get hungry between meals, then eat man-sized amounts. Thanks for the advice, I will try to find a new eating lifestyle that won't overwhelm me and cause me to fail0
