My husband works on the road for days at a time and has just started his weight loss journey... He's looking for suggestions. He needs good healthy food that he can keep in his back pack. Keep in mind he has a nut allergy. any suggestions? Please and thank you!

canned tuna and canned salmon
fruits such as apples, bananas, oranges
vegetables such as avocados, red bell peppers, cucumbers (can also do low sodium canned veggies)
spoon size shredded wheat
Peanut butter
bread
Is it possible for him to keep an ice chest? A bag of ice lasts at least a day or so.0 -
cereals
snack bars (not sure which ones don't have nuts or traces thereof. Is he allergic to all nuts?)

Dried fruits, pumpkin seeds, peanut butter, protein bars, mixed whey protein and skimmed milk powder, small cans of fish, oatcakes, canned pink grapefruit. Would really need to pick up some fresh fruit, veggies or salad, plain Greek yoghurt or cottage cheese to be able to make balanced meals tho. I little cool bag would help them last the day.0
