Well in the spirit of St Patties day, i had a brilliant idea. I made the kids Kraft Dinner for supper and i put blue food coloring in it to make it green.... And let me tell you i was 100% not even tempted to have a bite!!! it looked soooooo grossss .... so my theory is perhaps if i dye all my food green i just wont eat as much  and why exactly is it that green is such an unappitizing color? Maybe i have eaten tooo many salads in the past 3 months? not sure the answer ..... but ewwww green kraft dinner lol its almost enough to turn me off of Kraft dinner for ever.

 Just stop and think of all the gross things that ARE green, i.e. brussel sprouts.
Great job avoiding the mac n' cheese btw!

I was thinking of having mac and cheese.. the real one from the blue box. Just eat a single serving. When I was a skinny kid I was able to eat the whole box... we'll I guess it is true, that it does catch up with you. I wish I would have listened.

I remember when mayo colored their mayonnaise for kids. Colors like green, red, and blue were marketed towards children and I thought to myself, "who the hell would want to eat green mayo?"

I always thought if mayo is green, it's rotten. I was waiting for them to come out with black mayo or black catsup....then it would be really nasty.

Mmmmm I use to just eat that when I had a craving. I could easily eat 1/2 a box of freshly made Kraft Dinner when I was hungry. Almost without tasting it, I would just inhale it and it was so satisfying.

I can't remember the last time I had KD though. When I was on weight watchers, eating even a portion wasn't worth the points to me, I had to make do with just a spoonful and then I stopped making it.

Not to mention one day, I foudn these little tiny (I mean like Micro) bugs in them.... how gross is that? I checked every box we bought they all had them.

I think I have been turned off it since then. Now I make penne and cheese casserole when I need me a fix.

Great job on deterring away from the KD but not all green things are bad and gross

That is so funny! I made red and green mahed potatoes for Christmas dinner one year... everyone was so grossed out! haha I was SLIGHTLY drunk at the time or I probably would have thought so too!! that was years ago and my hubby would kill me if i did it again I think!!!!
  • Oh man! you guys are making me want some mac 'n cheese. I used to eat one of those every weekend. Now, don't be dissin' the green stuff! Peas, spinach, lettuce, grapes, celery, baked asparagus, broccoli, (oh my goodness!) fresh cucumber!... I could go on and on! I guess I was just given a very un-picky taste, but fix all of that stuff up and I've got a meal. Also, what is great is that you basically can't go wrong with green (now I am talking about stuff that is supposed to be green...mold is def. out...lol. Ok, giblet gravy isn't that great either. ) If I don't have something green on my plate, I feel as if I haven't eaten right. Well, Good luck all and keep posting tips!
