Arms

So I was just reading a post on low weight/high rep vs high weight/low rep...and I'm curious. What are the best possible exercises for the arms? I want to get rid of what I consider flab and "tone up" By tone up, I mean I want my arms slender-looking with slight muscle definition. Granted I've only been really working at it since mid-November, but I can't tell much difference in my arms and am not getting the results I desire. Currently I do some Gunnar Peterson DVDs at home and use the weight machines at the gym. Sometimes I'll do high weight/low rep, and sometimes I'll do low weight/high rep. I notice some difference in my triceps but that's about it. Suggestions?

Push ups, Bench Press, Chin ups and Dips. Low reps, My preference is 5x5 format (5 sets of 5 reps)0

Does your gym offer Body Pump? If so, check it out.
Basic exercises are bicep curls, tricep extensions or dips, flies, overhead press, deltoid raises, add in push ups as well. There are tons--this is just a short list, but really a good diet will help decrease fat while the strength helps with the toning.0 -
