When cooking beef is there any nutritional difference in say medium rare vs. well done. Are we cooking away nutrients as we get closer to well done? Is there a doneness thats better for us ???

Well the more you cook it, the less it will most likely weigh - since we log our portions by weight. The more done it is the less juices that are likely to still be in the meat - I am not sure how much that affects the calories though. As far as a doneness that is better for us - I would say eat it the way you prefer it. Perhaps another member can shed some more scientific advice on this.0

Very good question. I know that heat can destroy nutrients in some cases with ingredients, I'm not 100% sure how that applies to meat, or if it applies in an amount that is significant. I personally eat my Beef at Medium-Rare because I think it tastes better, always have since I was a kid.0
