Now let me say this, we are ALL working SO HARD to make our goals...GIVE YOURSELF A PAT ON THE BACK....BUT

When it comes to clothes, smh, some advice. While you are able to buy 12/14 because they now "fit" here's some advice for ALL women, "Just because it zips, doesn't mean it fits." If people bought the size that they actually wear and would IGNORE the number, then they would buy clothes that fit better which in turn make your body look better. The only person that knows the size/number/word is you. There is NOTHING to be ashamed about either!!!! You are working hard and you know it. So OWN IT and buy the right size and you will feel so confident everyday.

    SO true!

Although, at times the clothes are mislabeled. I tried on a pair of burgundy skinnies a while back, liked them, thought about them ... came back a few days later and they were on sale (score!). Bought the same size (per the sale tag) and tried them on when I got home and noticed they fit tighter. Checked the garment tag and the pants are a size smaller!

The good thing is, if you buy too small of a size and still have weight to lose, they can become "goal" pants. But that doesn't mean you should start parading around in them now and announcing to the world "See, they're 12s! Go me!"

I agree! I just fit into a size 18 pants for the first time since 2004 and I'm super excited. Most women start out this size or even lower, but I'm 6'2, so it looks pretty good on me. I started out as a size 24 in July and have lost 53lbs. I can't wait til I can buy clothes in the regular section again...I'll be there one day, I hope!
  • I agree. I hate it when women buy stuff that is obviously uncomfortable. It's like what are you trying to prove?

And I'm not trying to be rude. I just wish that more women realized that no one else knows the size but you and how much buying the right size clothing really flatters a body. We are all beautiful...don't do yourself a disservice by buying clothes that are ill-fitting.

My waist is 29" and my hips are 41" so even though I've lost 20lbs and some inches I still have to buy the same size pants. I just take in the waist and everyone assumes I've gone down like 2 sizes, but nope, and I'm not going to tell them that either :)

That's awesome! Great job on your loss!

I only buy sizes that I know are 2-5 times too big.

makes me look like i'm losing weight.

My sister once said she would die if we could share clothes.

I am like, seriously? I don't care what size you are, I just said I love sharing clothes with friends.
