Special occasion dining (Valentine's Day)

Okay, holidays are coming up. At least for me they are.
My birthday and Valentines day
Brandon wants to take me out to a nice dinner. Wine and dine and dessert somewhere romantic. We will go for sure
I'm doing well with my calorie counting and working out. I do not want to not enjoy dinner or only eat small portions. I want a nice date without worry.
What do I do? Check out the menu in advance, calculate the calories in the meal I decide to order and hit the gym to work off the calories?

My vote would be to take the day off and relax, let your hair loose. Its just one day, or two (can't quite tell) but either way, just let go and enjoy the day, and then resume as normal the next day. The occasional break is often good both mentally and hormonally. Ask anyone who was around here through thanksgiving and Christmas, it was like the calorie olympics, and nobody that resumed back to normal the next day gained any weight that wasn't gone by the end of the week. Its no big deal.0

The whole point of what we're all doing with all this is to be able to have the odd "bad" day every now and then without stressing. Just enjoy the day eat what you feel like for the meal and then maybe have a few less calories than normal over the following week or work extra hard on your workouts.0 -
Our anniversary is Valentine's Day, and we go every year to a B & B that has the most incredible, NON-diet food. I will try to track on those days, but I will certainly go waaaaay over on calories. I'll just get back on track later. My workouts will fit in around the days out of town, so I will do my lifting before we leave and when we get back and remain on schedule as far as that goes. If the weather's nice, we'll get in some cardio on the days we are gone.0
