The best invention ever! Great for putting on popcorn, breads, etc, and I can go crazy with it and no calories.

Anyone else like butter spray? I know I am not the only one!

My first one I used was I Cant Believe Its Not Butter with Olive Oil. But right now I am using the Parkay brand.

...if only there were a chocolate spray...

Yeah I believe that if it's less than 2.5 calories per serving, they can list it as zero calories and not piss off the FDA.

I thought I had read somewhere that 10 sprays of the I can't believe it's not butter spray (the original kind) was one calorie.

This is something to keep in mind (the near zero thing) as a lot of food with partially hydrogenated oil in it can get away with prominently displaying "ZERO GRAMS TRANS FAT!!"

Yes be careful with overusing it! A bottle normally contains about 400-600 calories from th eoil it is made up of (soybean or olive oil usually) so just because one spray is zero calories doesn't mean 8 sprays will still be zero calories because legally if its very very LOW calorie they are allowed to lable it zero calorie. Scary! I would probably use about a spray on popcorn or a spray on steamed veggies occasionally. Otherwise I use evoo for cooking or cooking spray made with olive oil.

I found this info at multiple websites by googling. It's worded almost exactly the same word for word so they all probably reference/borrow from each other or whomever posted it first. It does sound totally believable.
Here's the scoop: 12.5 sprays is 10 calories and 1 gram of fat, 25 sprays (1 teaspoon) is 20 calories and 2 grams of fat, and 37.5 sprays is 30 calories and 3 grams of fat. In case you're curious, the entire bottle contains 900 calories and 90 grams of fat!

I like to use it on slightly under toasted toast or pancakes so I don't rip them up putting on smart balance.

I like the spray for corn on the cob.

I really don't get the hype on the product. Calories and total fat are the same as regular butter. The only difference is there's 3.5 less calories in saturated fat and it has some poly and monounsaturated fats but not such a huge amount for me to be impressed. For the same amount of calories I'll stick to my regular butter.

I like to use it on popcorn just to make my seasoning stick better. Its also good for frying an egg so it doesn't stick to the pan but thats just like any other cooking spray I suppose

I can't believe its not butter and Parkay are NOT butter. They are margarines. You couldn't pay me enough to eat margarine, yuck.

And yes, like everyone else mentioned, they DO have calories. That is how they pull you in with their deceptive marketing tactics.

I like to take a 1/4 or 1/2 a slice of bread, butter it, and use that to butter my corn on the cob. Bonus you have a piece of bread with butter really melted into it.

One of the first threads I ever read on here was by a lady who was so excited to be making low-cal rice krispie treats with the butter spray. Because the butter spray had no calories. In the whole bottle. LOL.

I tried the I Can't Believe.... spray and it tasted kind of rancid. Maybe I got a bad bottle, but it turned me off forever. Now I'd just rather use a little of the real thing.

The spray is awesome! No normal person would use the entire bottle on a baked potato, lol! Way better alternative to normal butter. Love it!
