Insanity workout questions

Hi, I've started the insanity workout and calculated that for a "very active" workout i'll require 3070. Now I want to do the workouts to build the mucles and generally go for defined look, at the moment I dont have much fatty areas of the body only the tummy and sides, Should I be setting my calorie intake lower in order to lose that tummy fat and if so will I still gain the defined muscle look in that area while doing so?

Also any suggestions on recipes for home made recovery drinks or which ones I should buy? and would it matter if I did extra situps and weights after/before the exercise just to add that little extra to those mucles?
