Eating workout calories lost.....?

Hello all,
I have been working out enough to burn about 1000 calories every other day (I am 291 pounds currently), so this number seems accurate for an hour of vigorous effort. I have checked other sites as well, and they all say the same thing. I have my calorie intake at 1500 per doctors suggestion. So that puts me at 2500 calories for those days. Is it really necessary to eat all those calories back? I was thinking that I could eat about 2000 and still be ok. I would like some thoughts, thank you in advance.

I see mixed opinions on whether you should eat back those calories or not. My opinion? Eat them if you are hungry. If you're not, don't.0

When you still have a bit to lose, your body has plenty of reserves it can use for workouts. As long as you take in minimum 1200 calories actually eaten, and eat a bit more if your body tells you it needs it for the workout.
I think your suggestion of 2000 on workout days sounds pretty good, try it for a while and see how you get on.0 -
In order to lose your goal amount of weight yes.
Though since you have a lot to lose you should be fine only eating some of them back, that way you will lose slightly faster than your weekly goal, and without too large of a deficit. As you lose weight (have less to lose) you should eat back more of those cals, and change weekly goal to smaller amount.0 -
Honestly it's up to you and whether or not you're hungry. I personally strive to get the calories that I have set regardless of whether or not I have worked out.0

Thank you all for your input. It seemed like alot to eat, and I can generally stay within my range of 1500, so I will stick with the 2000 workout days, and see how that works for now.0
