MFP - WW crossover

I know there are some people who use both, and maybe one of you can give me some advice on this. My wife and I recently quit WW after a moderately successful year because we had drifted from using it and the 40 a month was much needed elsewhere. We may go back, but until then, I have this question:
I am a 240 lb Male, was getting ~50 points a day under the new WW plan, which I ballpark at around 2000 calories a day, with no points for the first 5-6 servings of fruits and veggies. MFP is giving me 1690 net calories a day which seems low. Still, I am thinking that it is a goal I would like to go for, with one caveat: I do not want to count fruits and veggies. I have a bad habit of eating sunflower seeds, chips, candy, etc. If I don't have a "free" option, and I start seeing the cals piling up from apples and carrots, I am not fully confident that I could convince myself that they are a viable alternative to my preferred terrible snacks, lol.
Has anyone used MFP this way (without recording fruits and veggies), and how did it work for you?

That is a great question. I use weight watchers on here. I am part of a group on here called Weight Watchers 360 and MFP and they have tons of information about doing Weight Watchers for free on MFP. I have done weight watchers for 11 yrs now through 4 pregnancies and have been very successful and only paid for the first two months back in 2002. The rest was on my own,0
