Saw a report on the top 5 scary movies that burn the most calories when you watch them. Elevated heart rate and adrenaline.

1 The Shining
2 Jaws
3 The Exorcist
4. Alien
5. Saw

I'm thinking Saw and The Exorcist should be higher on the list, as you would certainly lose your appetite for awhile after watching!

But I agree that The Shining is the scariest movie EVER!

Those are really the top 5! I am surprised!

I am an Alien series fan and I feel absolutely no fear or jumpiness watching it. The only two in the past years that got me was Insidious and The Grudge 2.

Otherwise... I am not easy to scare or make jump unless it's a game like Silent Hill or Resident Evil. Every freaking time something jumps out of the woodwork I jump in my seat haha.

I loved The Shining but didn't find it all that scary. I don't consider the Saw series scary, more of a gore flick.

I agree with all of those except #5. Saw was a horrible movie and not scary at all, nor are any of the sequels. Unless you count how many calories I burned saying "This movie is f-ing stupid!" throughout. Kudos to those who like the Saw films, just not my cup of tea.

I FEEL like they don't really take into consideration the lack of sleep and how that would affect your weight. Because honest to God, I get scared thinking about the list, and I've never seen any of the movies.

ALSO: If I'm scared of everything, does that mean I burn more calories from being scared?

Well considering I got a stress and insomnia induced migraine for 3 days after watching "the ring" with all the migraine induced wretching it brought on, I guess that was a diet of sorts. NOT one I'd ever want to do again...I mean grown men were screaming and jumping into the lap of the women next to them....and uh oh Jillian barbieri is on an ad right next to this and I gotta stop this post as my eyes are already playing tricks that she might start coming out of the machine...(it already looks like her boobs are!) (just kidding Jillian, if you go on here, cause I may run into you at my nordstrom mac counter. those girls LOVE to brag that she gets her bronzer and other goodies there.)
