I need some support...

I started my journey in October 2011. I weighed 227 pounds (which is only .5 away from my highest, when I was pregnant with my son). I'm a single mom to a 13 year old son. I work 2 jobs and I play tennis (competitvely). There are 100 reason for me to get in shape. I dropped 10 pounds before I found MFP. Then I found this site, which helped a lot. I worked hard and managed to drop a total of 45 pounds. Around March I stopped tracking and dropped my gym membership. In the last couple months I've gained 18 pounds (wonder how that happened?? ) and I decided I need to start logging and getting back to they gym. I re-started my new lifestyle this week. I've already lost 4 pounds. I'm in a good frame of mind and know I can continue a healthy lifestyle. I keep my diary open, and I track everything I eat. Also, I log my weight every day. I know they say not to and some people might not like that, but I'm going to jump on the scale daily anyway. Might as well keep track. There may come a time when I don't need to daily, but right now it's the motivation I need to know I can do this.
I know I stopped coming on this site last year... but I'm ready this time. I could use some friends for motivation and support (and I will do the same for you). I think it will help me to stay focused and on track.

Welcome back! I say do what you have to do to keep yourself motivated. If that means checking the scale, check it. Just remember to be patient - sometimes you do get stuck for a week or two but then you're right back in it.0

My number one opinion for making this work is to focus on actions, not results. We want the results, but it takes the focus and patience with the actions to achieve the results. Truly, it's a learning curve too. You can come here looking for answers but ten different people will probably give you ten different answers. While bodies are bodies, each body still has its own mind associated as well as preferences, etc. If you stick with it, you will go through the push and pull with yourself to discover what will work for you. I'm still learning, 6-7 months after starting. Just wake up each day knowing you can do it and you will do whatever it is you truly want. Feel free to add me if you want. I don't usually give advice because I feel there are experts more qualified, but I try to be a morale booster/cheerleader.
