Hello!
Today is day one of my insanity beach body workout and oh wow now I realize why its called insanity lol. I surprisingly made it through day one, but I find it to be sooo boring.
How do you stay motivated?
When do you start seeing results? Do you use shakeology?
I am still pretty new to myfitnesspal, so I do apologies in advance if I am repeating topics.
Happy Friday!

It gets more boring with time but the results are worth it! I started seeing a difference literally within a week and my family could see changes in two. I do use Shakeology and I try to eat clean as well 80% of the time (the other 20% are treats). The best way to stay motivated I found was just to aim to finish each week; I tried not to think too far ahead about how much was still left to do. Seeing the results is also extremely motivating!

Hey Annie -- I just started Insanity not too long ago (I am on Day 15 now) and so far I absolutely love it. As is the case with any kind of workout, it can be difficult to stay with if you're not motivated. I have kept myself motivated by reading as much as I can about Insanity online and understanding that while it is hard and can be boring, it is certainly worth it in the end. I've also added a few people on here that are also doing Insanity and that is helpful to.
I am not using Shakeology, just following the caloric guidelines set by MFP.
I have had really solid results through the 1st 2 weeks. I just did my 2nd Fit Test today, and I improved on everything and on some things by a substantial amount. You also see improvements each time you do a workout. My first time through each workout my goal was to just get through it and finish it. Each time afterwards I have not been worried about finishing, but I am more focused on doing more of each exercise with better form, quickness, and explosion. The moves are all easy to do, but difficult to master.
As far as seeing results in my body, I am really not for sure. I have lost a few pounds, but I find it difficult to see changes without side-by-side comparison pictures. Like some old people say "a watched pot doesn't boil" and this is the case with Insanity as well. If you stare in a mirror each day you are done with your workout and try to see improvements you never will. Give it a few weeks, and I promise you you will like what happens.
Feel free to add me, I am always looking for more committed Insanity workouters (don't think that is a word) to keep me accountable!0 -
Thanks Cat! I think one of my biggest problems is that I want to see results right away, but I know it takes some time0

Thanks! I realize one of my biggest problems is that I'm so impatient to see results, lol I'm working on it. Ive heard great reviews on shakeology ill give the shakes a try!
And I realize I'm not actually replying to individual posts, still getting the hang of MFP!0 -
Depending on your goals, perhaps try a hybrid. I found Insanity boring and annnnnnnnnnnoying! HOWEVER, it works and by month 2 ....look out! It may be repetitive, but it works. Try another BB workout with it. I love CE......but she's deceiving, lol. Good luck and keep it up!0

Month 1 is good, although very repetitive, but bearable! Month 2 is hardcore.
Personally I think it's great for the cardio but if you mix it up up and do a hybrid programme alongside some weights , you'll get get better results.
Good luck. The t-shirt definitely feels like am accomplishment in itself! X0
