Beached Whale Alert!! [Pic Heavy]

Was looking through old photos of mainly my little brother... I stumbled across a few of me though. I thought it's time to share. I lost 150 pounds -- going from 300 to 150 in a year and a half. I was diagnosed with bulimia nervosa September 2011. That's all I'm going to say.

I /think/ these photos are me at age 12 or 13. I have not a clue in the world what I weighed.

I have no idea what's going on with photobucket and those pictures. One moment please... I give up... It WAS pic heavy, but photobucket is dumb as hell.

Those are some amazing pics. But pleeeeeaaaase get any help you can for the bulemia. My sister, now in her 40's, suffers from the effects of a lifetime of it. She has no enamel left on her teeth. Her digestive system and hence her ability to eat like a normal person it shot. She has associated migrains and other health issues that will only get worse with age. It has wreaked havoc on her life. Do whatever you can to get away from it, whether it be support groups, meds, food-sensitivity/nutritional counseling etc. Blessings and peace to you in those tempting , difficult times.

Nice to see a history of photos of your time on here Spunky :) I remember when you were 15 and on here and working your way down in lbs. I was really proud of you, you worked so hard and were a nice addition to the early days on here. I worried about you though, I remember when you shared you felt MFP caused an ED for you and you went through your angry phase. Hey who doesn't go through a mirage of a million feelings along the way.

I've seen others blame MFP for that and I gotta say I think paper & pen and anything to an extreme with disordered thinking can lead to issues. MFP is a fantastic tool to work with to sort out our menu's, gather courage and beyond awesome support but it can also be a place where those with low self-esteem and current ED's huddle. I don't believe MFP has the power to cause anything unless we are open to it or the suggestions of others.

I am SO PROUD of you for sticking around, through the good times, the really tough times and the healing you've been working on over the years. I applaud you for the groups you seek out in RT for support and help with you ED.

Cheers to you for an even healthier path as you work your way back down the scale:flowerforyou: :drinker:

Also please please consider not calling yourself a beached whale... you're a very beautiful girl, both inside and out, from your highest weight to now. Our bodies take us so far even at our lowest weight and highest weight, they are incredible to us, they keep us moving in the direction we want to be... You're far from a beached whale Funky!
