weigh in and measure

so I have decided to take my measurements and weigh in and maybe pictures as will but then how often do I weigh in or measure to gauge results? I know it's certainly going to take time but I also see people posting about how ''its not working'' now im questioning myself. im obsessive about the scale so my husband is moving it (hiding it) so that temptation is not there everytime I go to the bathroom. my plan was to do it every 30 days, is that too long?

Personally, I weigh in once a week and take my measurements every two weeks. There's never been a time when there weren't several inches lost between measurements (I measure 12 spots). I'm coming up on measuring day again on Tuesday and can't wait, because I checked a few spots and I'm down over 3 inches in just my waist, belly button and hips! I've seen MAJOR differences in two weeks time. If you only do it once a month, I'm sure you will be extremely happy with the results if you are actively staying at or under your food goal and exercising. Good luck to you!!

    P.S. I've lost 35 inches overall since October 31st.

30 days is fine. Just keep an eye on how you feel and look in the mirror. If, after two or three weeks, you don't see or feel a change? Then it would be OK to remeasure and weigh. But 30 days - basically 4 weeks - is a pretty good time frame to see a noticeable difference and evaluate what you've done.

Oh - and thank your husband. With weight fluctuations and all that, it's good to not obsess daily about your weight.
