hey everyone,
i am just trying to come up with a workout plan and i need help on the lifting part. i always hear people say like "leg and chest day" How do i seperate them and know what to do what day?

You don't have to separate it like that. Many people do the Stronglift program(google it) and it is a 3x a week workout that focuses on only a few exercises, most full body, compound.0
