Fruit- Store in Fridge or Counter?

Just curious how everyone stores their fruit. I always keep bananas on the counter, but wondering what everyone does for apples, oranges, etc.

Do you find they last longer in the fridge? Sorry if this is a little off topic!

  • I keep mine in the fridge because I like fruit cold. It does seem to me to keep them fresh a bit longer since its winter and the warm house seems to spoil things fairly fast.

Bananas are left out, but everything else is in the fridge, I like my stuff cold. I don't know if it lasts longer because I have never left it out to see.

Keep it on counter top. Hang bananas so they do not affect the other fruit.

Keep grapes, strawberries and kiwis in fridge.

Freeze berries to make them last longer and keep the nutritional value.

i keep apples bananas & oranges on the counter. If i were to buy grapes or fresh berries i keep them in the fridge, but lately i've been buying freeze dried berries since the fresh ones spoil too fast

the rare times we actually have fruit in the house we keep anything in the apple or orange family in the fridge. Things like peaches and plums it depends on how under ripe they are since i don't live in an area that they grow naturally. Banana's on counter. Berries it depends on how fast i'm going to use them.
