so according to a detailed TDEE calculator, my TDEE is 2281- so a good weight loss calorie intake for me is apparently around 1825 (20% less than the TDEE).
when im not screwing up and cheating 2+ days a week (trying to break the habit- getting better), i try to stick to 1400-1500 a day, and workout hard 5x a week.
last year when i saw a nutritionist, i first tried to hover around 1800 cals- but my weight stayed the same- even when i was eating mostly clean food and high protein. i didnt lose weight until i dropped to around 1500... how is that possible, is science (ie the TDEE) is claiming i NEED more?

Everyones body is different and reacts differently to iputs and outputs. Try lowering raising your DCI 100 calories for a week until you see a weight reduction. If you see a weight gain, then back down a little. It's more balck magic than science when it comes to someone loosing weight
Just make small adjustments until you see a change.

Lucky you - my TDEE - 20% = 1057. I try to stay at 1000 a day. Any more and I gain. Do what works for you.0

thanks all!
i work out 5x a week- cardio is anywhere between 30-60 min, either running or the elliptical on a high intensity.
i lift 2-3x a week- anywhere from 20-40 min, either upper or lower body, and vary the exercises.
im going to try for around 1600 cals and to not cheat-- my chets happen too frrequently. the goal should be to "treat" (vice cheat) yourself 1x a week at most- and to have be it reasonable. i should be able to allow myself an extra 400-500 cals 1x a week to enjoy a treat, not screw up and eat an extra 2K cals... which is what im guilty of doing 2+x a week0
