3 Mile walk NSV

NSV time! So, today I asked my neighbour, who loves to walk if she'd like to tag along with me. She has watched me be at my worst when I barely made it past the driveway without taking a rest. Anyway, off we trekked with my bank card and a few reusable grocery bags.. and I said to her that I'd like to walk to the grocery store.. she just about flipped! Seeing as it's almost 1.5 miles (2.3km) away and down a big hill and back up a big hill! Well, off we set, and I picked up about $35 worth of groceries and WALKED BACK AGAIN! We stopped halfway at our hospital's canteen and had a good cup of coffee and chat, then home again. All that in less than 2 1/2 hours. Not sure how to log it as I didn't time the walking or how long we chatted over coffee. Google maps says the distance is 2.86 miles, so if I count carrying groceries one way, I guess that's like walking three miles? It was such a nice time. When we got to my door, the neighbour said" Wow, I feel like I've witnessed history in the making.. you've come so far!" Now, that is a great compliment!

I didn't know what that meant either so I clicked "Google" and typed it in. I know, I'm a genius. Who would have thought to do that? Non Scale Victory. Amazing what you can find out on the internet.

Thanks for defining NSV. I have been wondering since I started. I knew it was something to do with a success but couldn't figure out what it could be.
