training after a torn hamstring! help

hi all, well 5 months ago i tore my hamstring during kick boxing. i went to physio immediately and after 2-3 months i was signed off but then i twisted my calf muscle as i didnt do enough rehabilitation on that leg and id lost a fair bit of muscle strength.......so i have been good and strengthened it up properly.
now where do i start again with my training?? i would do 4 30-60mins circuit/hiit training a week and run but other than pilates ive done no workouts since my injury i feel a bit lost as to where to start, i am doing a 1/2 marathon in sept so need to train for that. started on a beginners 5k training plan but finding it a bit easy (very) and theres 4 days off, im getting conflicting advice. some people say i should be ok to add some circuit training in on my rest days but others have told me to just hold off! i dont want to be impatient and rush back in but this all feels way to easy!
so any advice at all would be great. thank u xx
