does anyone else quick add

a little bit of extra calories just because cooking, especially from scratch, isnt always an exact science?or even using measured amounts, labels are allowed to be a certain percentage off,so i usually add between 50-100 extra for the day. anyone ever do this, heard of someone else doing it?or am i just crazy.

I do up the calories if I don't know for sure what was in what I ate. Its still a guess and I could still be low sometimes.

I usually use quick add when I quite frankly am eating at a venue where I simply cannot figure out exactly what to put in... i.e ... chinese restaurants or at family "pot luck" dinners... I give it a rough guess and go it from there... Or I'll quick add for good measure at times when I eat at a buffet and suspect I may have under reported somewhere... I personally don't use quick add in the manner that you describe as I figure the actual value may well be off... one way or another... A little give here and a little take there. I'll sometimes overestimate the portion to accomodate for the likely error ... that keeps the macros updated as well. Nothing wrong with what you are doing. I also will try to leave a few extra calories... 100-300 extra unused calories for miscalculations... whether on the exercise side or the intake side. Don't always work out that way but I guess you could say I have been successful doing it that way.
