easter fitness challenge - Mar 18

Good morning all
Didn't get up early as planned going to scrap the intensive workout today got a chest infection so going to stick to walking for a few days the Doc says leave it at least 2 to 3 days after I feel better before I use the elliptical as it could prolong the infection if I do too much too soon I am actually disappointed I may just get an extra 30 mins walking in before the kids get up in the morning don't think I could use the elliptical if I wanted to my chest really hurts to breath.
Got my hair done anyway so that made me feel better and just got back from a 1 hour walk feel a bit tired now though so gonna take it easy for the rest of the day.
Have a gr8 tuesday all.

Don't push it if your doctor said to take it easy. Just rest and drink plenty of fluids. Hope you feel better soon!0

I did The Biggest Loser Cardio Max-50 minutes and that's about it for today. Might get in some window washing. I don't care what the weather man says-I think spring is coming and I wanna be ready to be out in it!:flowerforyou:

Well I weighed myself today and was pleasantly surprized to see I actually lost a 1 lb. Considering the regular exercise went down hill and all I was doing was gentle PT stretching. I was bracing myself for a gain
I started this challenge wanting to lose 10 lbs but I guess that was really unrealistic for the way I feel most of the time so I will take it and run:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: (not literally)

Vicky, hang in there. Your body is working overtime fighting your illness, so don't worry about the exercise calories, you're getting them in! :flowerforyou:
I didn't make my birthday weight goal, but did break 30 in on my waist measurement! That's 7 inches off since October! :noway: So while the scale is still my enemy, I'm loving my tape measure!
I took three days off of intentional exercising. Was on my feet all weekend, so I wasn't just being lazy. Cross between being sick, exhausted, and plain worn out from my workouts. Needed to get away for a bit. We'll see what I can make happen this week. My birthday splurge was nutter butter ice cream with resses from Marble Slab. IT WAS SO GOOD!:blushing: I didn't count calories all day Sunday either.
60 min weights, will do cardio tonight. Campus construction broke a water line and contaminated with sewer line, so no useable water till later today. I don't want to reek at work all day! :laugh:0 -
Hey Everybody!
Birthday binge yesterday -- ugh. I'm back on the wagon today. Got in 30 min of Jillian Michaels Shred workout plus 15 min of some FitTV cardio. I'm hoping for a hike this afternoon, and if not that then I'll walk for an hour.
I was over my calories by 700 yesterday! I was sick with myself just logging it all. Peeps and martinis -- what a vile combination...0 -
Just finished about 40 minutes of yoga.
May walk later today.

My stomach is teaching me a lesson today! I guess going healthy for a month and then going all out is NOT a good idea. I have a total Peep hangover.
I should have remembered my friend's saying "martinis are like boobs -- one is not enough and three are too many..."

Guys, guys, I'm not feeling well - peeps and martinis, vodka and cheetos :sick:
Really, I'm not. Running a borderline, should I go to the doctor, fever. Also having a hard time eating. I'm known for my stomach of steal, so that's a little worrisome. I've slept off and on since 11 last night - that's 13 hours. While no means a record for me, I'm still sleepy. My record was 3 days in a row of sleeping 20 hours a day :laugh: - I never used the nicotine patch again (and no, I didn't take it off during sleeping). I'm grateful I don't have to do anything. I don't know how moms do it. I hope I'm better tomorrow as my yoga teacher asked me to sub and I said I would.
The only thing that sounds good right now is ak mak crackers and PB. If you haven't tried ak mak crackers, you really need to.
Oh, yesterday was weights, yoga, and a little elliptical. I've already given myself a pass not to do weights tomorrow.
I could go on for hours in this delirious state. I guess you could stop reading at any time. Having my morning coffee at 2pm. Rain is coming. No tornado watch here though. oh, email's calling...0 -
Oh Mary I'm sorry your sick, I hope you get better soon. I usually sleep too when I'm sick so I understand where your coming from. Never heard of ak mak crackers though. Where do you get those? I'm always looking for something new to try. See you tomorrow , maybe it will be better for you ~Karen0

I get ak mak at Whole Foods and a Texas only grocery store called HEB. I don't usually go to Randalls or any other type store, so I don't know if they carry them. Here's a website:
