Weigh ins and motivation

Hey, So I have been on my weight lose journey since a week or three, and I have been on a couple of journeys that I failed but I hope to succeed this time. But my problem is mostly after a week or two my motivation starts to drop especially when I notice my weight loss isn't going as well as hoped. And I tend to go more frequently on to the scale to see if I have lost weight.
So my question for you guys is how many times do you weigh yourself and how do you keep yourself motivated when the number isn't as you were expecting? Any tips on keeping motivation?

I weigh in every morning after i wake up and after i pee. I however know that the previous days activities may cause that weight to go up (ie i weighed in this morning and was up a smidge, but thats to be expected from water retention cause i went out drinking friday night). I watch the weekly progression of weight or even the monthly to keep it in perspective. While i am happy to see decreases in weight, i don't think too much of the bumps along the way so long as those bumps don't start trending upwards that is.
