Why do you feel the need to do something while washing dishes? How long do you spend washing dishes. Just include exercise as part of your daily routine.

Just the act of standing burns more calories than if you were sitting.

Try doing tree pose (standing on one foot with the sole of your other foot on the inside of your thigh); trying to maintain your balance works all kinds of muscles.

Squat? IDK...really do you need to lose weight while washing dishes? Just walk.

    Squats between each dish

I tried that while emptying the dishwasher once. I am now short one dinner plate.

I stand in tree pose when I wash dishes, no weight loss but good for balance. :)

Contract your abs, holding for at least one minute. Strengthen your rotator cuffs by squeezing your shoulder blades together and holding for 15-30 seconds.

Are you posing this question because you do tons of dishes, don't have time for exercise at all or just want to maximize your time spent on mundane tasks like washing dishes? I personally do dishes while I am cooking dinner or while a bag of popcorn is in the microwave or whatever. I multitask the mundane tasks so I have time for exercise...or, I did when I was exercising. Taking a break for a health issue right now.

Do a set of kegels for each dish you clean.

I have danced and marched while doing dishes because I was trying to hit a certain number on my fitbit. Do what you like. Movement is movement and if that's where you can fit it in, that's your choice.

Walk on the spot. Get some decent amount of steps in... make them fast & push down hard....like as in tense your calf muscles up
