Moving printer software to new computer?

I am not sure if this is a good place to ask, but I figured I would try. I figure if I can use my printer I could print articles and important stuff.
I used my printer with my old computer so the software is on that one. Then I got my new laptop and I can't find the disc that I used to install the software. I'd really like to be able to print from my new computer...and was wondering if there was a way to get it from the old computer to the new?
Oh and the printer is an HP I think...if that makes a differences?

Most newer computers will automatically load the necessary software from from the web to operate a printer.
If you need to, you should be able to go to the HP web site and look up you printer and save the drivers to your laptop.
