How do I cook healthy foods.

I'm good at cooking when I know what to do haha. And I see a lot of healthy foods that look really good but no idea how to make them. So if you have any healthy foods that taste good could you tell me how to make them.


I don't even know how to steam veggies, make any other type of chicken than plain grilled, and can't even make vaggie soup! Help!

    haha but really there are lots n lots of good resources out there, skinnytaste.com is a good one for recipes and i always watch vids on youtube (It helps me to see it done) for the basics, like for making quinoa or hummus.
    practice makes perfect though! If you don't like something you make, you can often tweak the recipe so you do like it. I make all kinds of crazy combos but its helping me learn what tastes good together and what i like.

    Use wild rice blends rather than white rice. Cook your own pots of beans, and incorperate onions, garlic, peppers and such. Use a lot of veggies. I learned through logging and creating recipes here on MFP that many of my meals are not just healthy, but low calorie. I was really surprised!
