Weighing yourself on uneven floors...

I bought a digital scale today that's accurate to .2lbs so I can start actually tracking my progress. It seems to be a pretty nice one, but when I tried it out I noticed that it will read as much as a 3lb difference depending on where it is on the floor! This is a bit of a problem for me, because I'm only expecting .9lbs lost weekly on average, so that discrepancy is going to make it really hard to track my progress.
My solution so far has been to mark a spot on the floor so I'm always weighing from the same spot, but I'm still wondering if anyone else has this problem and what they've done about it.
