Today is the day I quit

After two years of total dedication (first on another website but for the past 18 months on MFP) I have decided that today I must quit. Don't get me wrong-I am not giving up. I have just come to realize that I have become totally obsessed with recording every morsel I eat and tracking every calorie to the point that I am constantly thinking about food, meals, calories, etc....and now sadly I must venture out on my own. I will still check in from time to time, but alas like the little bird that had grown my feathers I must leave the nest and soar on my own.
I need to thank everyone who has been so supportive on this website and I will continue to recommend it to anyone and everyone who asks how I lost the weight.
Be strong my friends-if I can do this anyone can.

I feel you. I went through the exact same thing, I was obsessed. When it started to affect my relationship I decided to leave too. I didn't stop working out or trying to eat healthy, but I stopped logging/tracking/reading every fitness article I could get my hands on, etc. Did that for about 6 months and I'm happy to say I didn't regain any of the weight I lost. Now I'm back and I'm much more conscious about the time I spend on the computer generally and on mfp and bodybuilding.com specifically.
