Hi guys!
I just finished week 2 of the C25K. I did it without taking any breaks and a didn't have to stop at anytime.
My leg is hurting a bit and im taking a break the next 3 days.
But my Q is..
This week i have to run 3 minutes and i'm SO afraid that i won't make it.
What did you guys do? Should i take 1 week where i run 2 minutes straight before moving on to week 3 of the program?
I'm so afraid of failing.

If you successfully completed all the days of the week before, just continue on to the next week. You'll be okay. If you try it and ya can't do it, just repeat until you can. Good luck!0

If you completed week 2 as programmed you should just trust yourself and do what it says for week 3. Only repeat if you cant complete the run as scheduled.
It will be hard but in the end it will be worth it.
I am on week 4 now (my second time through)0 -
If you're not feeling ready for it, (especially if you're feeling injured!) I'd suggest re-doing the week 2 so you will feel confident moving to week 3, and you won't be putting extra pressure on yourself or your body. Definitely make sure you're feeling better before moving on though as you don't want to risk further injury.
Well done for your determination so far - rest up and make sure you stretch before and after as that can really help with injury prevention... Have a brisk walk, then stretch, then start your routine.
I've been through C25k and am now training for a Half Marathon! Feel free to add me if you want a running friend0 -
Just suck it up and do it. When i started c25k i had to keep reassuring myself that this program has worked for thousands of people, and the only thing stopping me was my mind telling me i couldnt possibly run that far. But you can- if i could at 230lbs and very unfit, you can too. Just trust in the training and it will work.and trust in yourself and your own ability. And fwiw, as long as you keep trying you cant fail!
Eta- i did c25k 2 years ago, then b210k, then 8 halves and 2 fulls. It does work, honest.0 -
Thanks guys!
I will push myself to do it. I really love running... or i love the feeling after haha.
My hope is that the "pain" is gone in three days and i can continue.
Thank you for the support.
See you on the other side of 3 minutes then haha0 -
Just as an aside ..... what pain are you feeling ?
Just stiffness and soreness of the muscles or a burning pain in the shins, or knee pains ?
Anything other than muscle soreness you should rest until it is gone. You also might want to look at seeing a shoe fitting specialist to check your stride and get a pair of shoes that suit the way you run.0 -
I did my first workout for week three today and it went well. I also did it with a leg injury so now Im looking at having the rest of the week off but the first workout was really good. You will be surprised! If you cant cope just slow down your running speed.0

I can't feel anything if i'm on the crosstrainer or a stationary bike, but if i PW or run it starts to hurt on the left side of the leg.
It's kinda hard to explain. It hurts and if i press with my finger it's really sore.
I haven't been running this week yet. I wanna wait until tomorrow.
The pain goes away after an hour or so.. but i guess it's kinda a sharp pain.
Does it even make sense?0 -

I have a feeling it may have to do with our running technique. Might have a look online for some tips unless anyone here has some links we can refer to?0 -
