I have been counting calories like crazy but only recently started monitoring my fiber intake. I've found that a high fiber diet is sooooo important when it comes to weight loss. I am not eating nearly as much. Big ups to Quaker Fiber & Omega 3 bars, they are awesome!

I too have found fiber makes a huge difference in how hungry I get.

I have also found that some protein in the morning helps keep me from being starving at lunch and over-eating.
  • Fiber helps me out so much as well! Fiber One cereal each moring, very low in calories and high fiber. I usually add a fruit or even eggs... I will have to check out those Quaker bars you mentioned.
  • Fiber One is a GREAT way to get more fiber into your diet! I love the Fiber One bars (think I like the peanut butter best) and the cereal is great too (LOVE caramel delight)! A bar or 1 cup of the cereal provides 9 grams of fiber!

I totally agree! It has been a huge help for me. I like the high fiber quaker oatmeal and the fiber 1 bars are delicious!!! Between that and adding more protein in the morning it really keeps me full!

I agree fiber is so important. I am trying to eat more natural fiber from fruits and vegetables and not rely so much on processed "foods". When I do eat processed foods I am trying to eat the ones that have 5 ingredients or less. It's hard. Not many fall into that category. I'm trying to follow some of the advice from Jillian Michaels new book, Master Your Metabolism.

I also eat Fiber One everyday for breakfast and it helps! I just finished reading Master your metabolism and emptied my house of all the plastics and toxic cleaning chemicals. I usually do eat organic produce whenever possible and sometimes organic milk but it definitely is hard to eat only things from the ground and with a mother!

I also believe that you should try to be getting more from fruits, veggies, beans etc. Processed foods are never as good for you as the real thing (even with the extra fiber added.)
