THURSDAY, Jan. 10 (HealthDay News) -- Despite the fact that an increasing number of Americans are overweight and obese, there's been a decrease in weight counseling offered by primary care doctors, according to a new study.
I don't talk to my doctors about it anymore. They just aren't trained for it or can't be bothered by it. Some thought I wanted diet pills, I did not. Some have mention programs like Medi-fast may work for some people, but is just not practical for me. None have suggested a dietician, when I did go it was because I requested it.

How helpful has your doctor been in your weight loss efforts?
