I've done this before, lost close to 20 pounds and just stopped.. I was doing SO good!! Im jumping back on the wagon, Im trying to lose 40lbs.. Im going to be attempting this by eating well, portion control and eating frequent meals. Along with 30 day shred, I've heard amazing things about this program. I want to be a success story so freaking bad!

What do you do to stay motivated?

I'm in the same boat. I completed Slim in 6 in the spring last year, lost 11 pounds, 9 inches. I continued to eat well and exercise then I got sick and my motivation left. I go in waves and am curious what others do, too.

The feeling/endorphin rush that I get right after a hard workout or long run is enough to keep me going. Well, that, and the fact that I still have work to do, and want to do it. That's enough for me.

    Also, my mirror.

...and I guess the fact that if I have kids, I want them to have a healthy dad.

I set goals that have nothing to do with my weight and measurements.

    For example:

I am 34km into swimming the equivalent distance of the widest part of the English Channel (and have so far rewarded myself with $68.10 in a piggy bank which will, when I have swum the equivalent distance, fund a trip to England- $0.10 per lap)

Today I will cross the 1600km mark in my goal of running the equivalent distance from my home to Marathon Greece. Each km comes with a monetary value and in the end it will fund a trip to Greece to run the Athens marathon.

I also enter a LOT of races. My next marathon is in 19 weeks, my next half marathon is in 13 days. I want to improve on my times from my last races of both distances so now I'm focusing on a new nutrition plan.

In the end, I've lost quite a bit so far, including 50 lbs and 18 inches off of h/w/c (a total of 4 dress sizes). But the pounds and inches are less important than meeting the other goals that I've set for myself, looking at the mirror may not have me reaching for my running shoes on a cold winters day, but the idea of adding to my running total will!
