TRX Suspension Training

Does anyone use TRX suspension training for workouts? Or a similar brand? I was told by a coworker that it's easier on joints than other body weight workouts. I had injured my knee in high school so that's great for me but the price it higher than I want to pay right now. If I'm going to pay that much for a "workout system", I need to know that it really works and gets results. I saw the videos with Drew Brees so it looks easy enough. But is it too good to be true?

TRX Suspension is great. I use it at the gym sometimes and the workouts are pretty tough to do, especially since you use a lot of your core. So if that is your goal to have a strong core and overall to be fit, get it. It is definitely easy on your body in terms of the wear and tear.

Look closely at a few You Tube vids of the TRX system and you may come to the conclusion you can rig something up from two ratchet handles, two cargo straps of about 12 feet length and two strips of water pipe about 6 inches long and a karabiner.

Hang the whole thing off your pull-up bar, or a sturdy screw hook if you can find a wooden joist in your garage and you are away for a fraction of the price.

TRX is always one of my favorite strength training workouts! It has given me excellent toning and strengthening results in the past- and you will definitely "feel" its results right away, in muscles you had no idea you were using! I would recommend it to anyone!

    My question is:
Does anybody know how to input calories burned in MFP for TRX?

My best guess was circuit training for inputting it. I have a formula at home I haven't tried out yet that someone posted who knows fitness more than I do, but I didn't try to use it yet.

HAHA - didn't realize this post was this old - but if anyone has any tips for a newbie who is "easing" into this suspension training - please share it with me!
