I keep getting too much protein in a day! I don't think I am eating too much meat. Is too much protein a bad thing?

It depends. If you aren't getting any carbs or fat and all your calories are from protein, then yes, you most likely are eating too much protein.
Different diets subscribe to different balances of protein, fat and carbohydrates. Do some research. If your goal is to build muscle, then extra protein is a good thing. If you want to exercise, protein is a good thing. Just don't forget moderation.
Once you figure out what your short/long term goals are, then change your protein/fat/carbohydrate daily goals to match.
