Lbs lost = pant size ?

I am just curious of others experience and what can be expected....
I have lost 35lbs now in the past 6 months and I have dropped from a 20 to a 14 pant/top size (super excited about this!). This also means I am in shopping limbo - almost too small for plus department and just a bit too curvy for misses yet. I would like to be in a 10 someday, but does that translate into another 30 lbs to go?

Wow that's AWESOME! I've lost 23 lbs and have not moved down a size yet!!! My clothes are fitting me more comfortably but still able to wear same size.0

Congrats! Along the way did you notice that at times you were losing but your clothes were fitting loser? When you tone up you dont necessarily lose weight but gain muscle, and are burning more calories. I dont know what your exercise log looks like, but I'd keep up on weight training. If another 30 is your goal, go for it. I've lost 12 lbs in the last month, but went from a size 16-18 (in that range) and now I'm buying 13's. I uped my work outs and weight training, I have alot more definition in arms, back, stomach and legs then I have in years and havent lost that much. Check with others and see what they have to say. Good luck with your journey.0

I lost 65lbs and went from a size 20 to a size 14. When I hit the 80lb mark I splurged on new jeans and found out I am actually a size 10 now. I didn't want to waste money on new clothes as I lost the weight so I bought most of my stuff at Salvation Army. I figure when I get down to a size 8 (or whatever that may be when I've lost 100lbs) then I will go to some fancy skinny-people store and buy real clothes. I think my workout regime has had the most impact on what size I wear (moreso than weight lost). I dropped the most inches when I concentrated on core exercises, but I don't know if that is common or not. Best of luck to you!0

I've heard about 15 pounds per size but that has been about right for me. I was a 16 at my highest (though it was big) and now I'm just easing into 12's. Most of my weight is around my lower belly and hips so my pant size seems to be the last thing to drop. I also don't lose pounds and inches at the same time. I lose pounds (usually in a cluster then go weeks with no loss) then weeks later the inches drop etc.. I lost 20 pounds this past summer and didn't feel much different then it seemed all of sudden i began to shrink!0
