Is that a bad thing and how can I change that without upping carb intake?

Whose settings are you using, the MFP default? If so they are minimums. If you cut one macro (protein, fat, carbs) you need to increase one of the others to compensate for the calories.0

Start by going into your goals and updating them with the custom settings. Set your Carbs to 40%, Proteins to 30% and Fats to 30%. That's a more widely recommended set of ratios than the default that MFP uses and once you do that you'll likely find you're not getting enough protein.
Eating too much protein isn't going to hurt you unless you have a specific kidney deficiency or are going to extreme levels of protein over-dosing (think like 50-60% of your daily intake). As long as you're in healthy condition, you should be fine.0
