I feel like I've never eaten more!

I'm feeling like an absolute pig. I'm eating healthy; trying to meet my protein macros; having lots of vegetables... Yet, I feel like I'm eating way more than I used to. I'm having a good breakfast, large-ish lunch and good dinner plus morning and evening snacks and sometimes even pudding at night... Yet I'm usually under my calorie targets.

I'm sure there are others out there. Any stories?

eat calorie dense foods like avocado or nuts. that will help. but you are eating more because you're eating healthier stuff. funny how that works huh. and so many people think they have to starve themselves to lose weight! idiots.

Without eating pure junk food, 2000 calories a day is plenty filling for me (what it takes to maintain my weight). I got fat because I was eating at restaurants and consuming empty calories like regular pop way too often.

So you have an emotional attachment to not eating?

I love eating. Even more on days when I can put away 3000 calories. Sorry. No stories here.

I feel like I'm eating more than ever before... and I'm loving every minute of it!

I used to think I had to deprive myself to lose weight and keep it off and I'm happy as a cat in a pool of sunshine that I was wrong.

Not at all. I love food. Sometimes I just feel stuffed.

It isn't even like I didn't eat pretty healthily before. I just treated myself to sweets and takeaways too often.

I agree with the nuts and avocado suggestion. Also add some beans to your diet.

It's psychological, just like morebean pointed out. If it wasn't, you wouldn't 'feel like a pig' :frown:

I can relate to those feelings, though. There are days when I feel like that, and then I log... and realize I'm under my goal—sometimes by so much that I NEED to get more food, regardless of how much of a piggy I feel like. So I have to really make an effort to tell myself the truth of the matter: I am not a pig, and I was eating well, and staying under my goal, and no shame.

Mind over matter. Let go of how you 'feel' and let your actions and judgments come from knowledge of the facts! That's what the diary is for. :flowerforyou:
