Best asset to have

So just a thought from my journey...
3 weeks in and 7.2 pounds down (yes I will count every tenth of a pound!) and well on my way to changing not only my body but my lifestyle. Something I never thought would happen to me. But I'm enjoying this journey and I have my eyes set on that goal and staying there for a happily ever after...

But it's during this journey you realize what people mean to you and where your support comes from. My best friend who might I add is in some incredible shape suggested I start this process after seeing my disappointment of my current body shape due to some serious injuries. It began with the push to just give it a try.

Many people will give you ideas or mention plans but it's when you find that person who will check in every single day after day after day. They don't fail. They encourage you when you are down and are there to give you a great big hug when you find that great success! Some days you just don't have the strength to push yourself to keep going or to stick with it or even give it a shot. That's when a best friend to add that support that encouragment and someone who is genuinely excited to share in your successes as well becomes the key to success.

So keep going, find a best friend or even just a support partner. I've been so bless for the friend I have. And I know that no matter if I fall in this journey I have a friend that will keep me going on my way. I'm not in this alone. Neither should anyone else. Biggest asset to weight loss- a best friend. :)

    amen :)

some people just dont understand. I love my friends but we have very little in common when it comes to diet and exercise. Since being on here Ive made some wonderful friends that are always there to offer good advice or to motivate me when I need it. And when you have a good support system like that it helps every aspect of your life, not just diet and exercise. I'm actually a happier person because of it! and ive learned to handle other obstacles in my life. well on my way to a much healtheir happier me :D

I completely agree! I don't think I would be able to do this without my fiance'. He has never pushed me to lose weight and loves me no matter my size, but he also fully supports me and encourages me when I am doing what I want. It took me a lot of time and a lot of excuses but I finally think I am ready to lose the weight. I am so happy to have him supporting me.

Hopefully I will also find a lot of friends on this site as well to seek advice and support from.
