Makin burritos tonight!

I m going to be making burritos tonight for my fiancée and I (trying to keep it interesting for him!) , and I know I could make this into a great healthy dinner option. Whole wheat pita, brown rice, chicken, and raw veggies like diced tomatoes, avocado, etc. We like refried beans in them too, but after doing some research, it really isn't good for you. I read that LARD is incorporated into the mixture. So I want to stay away from that!

Just wondering, what do you guys put in your wraps & burritos to keep it healthy but still taste amazing!

Using some refried beans in your burrito is not going to be the end of the world. I add them to mine. I also add spinach.
  • There are also fat free refried beans and you can't taste the difference.

You could try using just black beans. Or, if you're missing that creamy texture, mash up the avocado into some guacamole!

I know it isn't the end of the world to have a bit of it, but I have a clean eating plan that I stick to. And lard, is definitely not something that I want in my body because it is in no way good for me. But good idea kevinrbarger! Thankyou!

low fat sour cream and chive (i get tesco but it depends on where you live) that always goes down a treat and is like no calories!

steam your rice w/ salsa - adds almost no calories and is a decent spanish rice knockoff.

I just use refried beans. They're the most delicious of all beans.
