New to this - Day 1

Hi everyone. This is day one for me. I have struggled with my weight for some months and after trying to lose weight with a slimming group decided to call it a day and try to do it myself simply by counting calories. I am excited about this site and only found out about it by doing a search on google for calorie counters. I would be grateful for any advice on succeeding. So far day one as gone really well.

This is the year that I would like to get to my target weight.
