Is my food intake healthy?

I am taking multivitamins, fiber supplement. I have completely changed my entire way of eating. I have restricted myself to 1300 calories. I have 141 pounds to lose. My job is inactive at best. I exercise rarely (mostly due to lethargy) which oddly enough is disappearing. My new diet makes me feel better but is it entirely healthy? I guess what I am asking for is for someone to review my food diary and provide me feed back?

Fresh veggies, fruit and more protein would be my suggestions - but having said that, I lost a lot of weight by just restricting calories......but it wasn't until I changed over to cleaner foods that I started feeling a million percent better!! :)
Good luck with your journey!! :D

You need to up your protein and fibre. Closer to 100 for protein and 30 for fibre. It'll make you fuller and more protein will help minimize muscle loss while you lose weight.

I notice that you "drink" alot of your calories. For starters, I'd probably instead use those calories on foods that provide more nutrients than what you're getting from the drinks. Also, your protein seems to be pretty low

I was just gonna say the same thing. I'd suggest more fruits, veggies, and protein.

Thank you. I do drink my calories. Mostly because I went from drinking tons of soda to almost none. That makes more sense though thank you.

    In a word: no.

... but, you are progressing, and that is incredibly important. Lowering the amount of junk food and high sugar/calorie drinks will come, but there is nothing wrong with making small steps toward your goal!

All too often people go from 4000 cals per day of junk, to 1000 cals of lettuce and steamed chicken, wonder why they feel deprived and on a 'diet. Making small changes to aspects of your eating habits on a gradual basis is a very sensible long-term approach.

Well done and keep progressing toward that healthy diet.

You are not eating even remotely enough. Your NET calories should never be under 1200. It's going to be very damaging in the long run.

    Read this! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12

edit: ah, you also have quite a bit to lose. I think that changes the rules. I'm not sure. Anyway, I hope you do well. :)

I agree with most of the commenters: you aren't getting enough protein, and a lot of what you do get comes from a can. Ideally, you should have 60-80g/day. I also don't see a lot of fresh fruit/veg listed, and adding those in would probably cut down on the need to take a fiber supplement because you would be getting it naturally. Having a combination protein/carb snack in between will stay with you longer. Get rid of the canned juices and supplements and focus more on real, whole foods. Yes, calorie control is necessary but definitely not the whole picture. You have to have calories that will give you the maximum benefit., If you choose to make your own protein drinks, make sure you are using a protein powder that is made from a whey isolate, and not soy or other sources. This one is higher in protein usually and has better bioavailability. Another definite bonus is that by buying fewer canned and prepared foods, you will find you actually save money. Good luck and keep moving forward.
