My local community education is offering a "Fitness Kickboxing" class, just wondering if anyone has tried this?
I am interested in trying it, but I have previously had an ankle injury & am nervous about that. I seriously haven't done anything more strenuous than Wii Fit Plus. So I just don't know how "high impact" this is and if my ankle will be able to stand up to it.

I love love loveeeee fitness kickboxing and turbo kick all of it! It can be pretty high impact, but if it hurts try just doing your arms and as much as your legs as possible. It's best to try everything once :)

I second that mltdown.... I love kickboxing. Its fun and competitive enough to keep you wanting to try harder every class. You not only lose weight but build muscle and tone your body! PLUS- you burn a ton of calories. =] I've been kickboxing for approx. two years now and have found that these classes are great motivators! Good luck!

I agree I combine body pump and turbo kick and I feel amazing and much more muscular than just doing regular cardio and strength training on my own.
