When should I have my protein?

I can't remember what I was told. Am I suppose to have protein within the half hour after a workout? or wait a half hour before having it? or does it matter?

    Doesn't matter as long as you're consistently getting adequate protein intake throughout the day.

    They do say that if you're having a protein shake that these should be taken within 20mins of starting or ending workout, that's what THEY say. Personally I don't think it makes a jot of difference as long as you're getting the required levels.

    Little and often all day from breakfast, as soon as possible after a workout if you haven't had a meal in a while and/ or you intend to train again hard the following day.
