damn. If that's your cup, try body pump out. I know I know, most guys cringe at the thought of a class with mostly woman, but I guarantee you, after a 1 hour body pump class, you will feel the BURN in every part of your body. Anything that combines weight training with cardio can't be all bad!
The reason why I suggest it at all instead of that (gulp) horrific (but awesome) sounding workout you did, is that you save almost a full hour of time (I would love to do that workout, but I don't even get home from work until 6:30 and the thought of spending 2 hours 3 days a week after a full 9 hour work day and 3 hours of driving just makes me cringe). The legs, shoulders, biceps and triceps get kick *kitten* workouts in bodypump, I usually burn about 550 to 700 cals depending on the weight I put on the bars.0 -
I completely understand......luckily I can take a long lunch break which I use to hit the gym....just minutes away.
Sometimes, we do the high impact kick classes too. Those are tough.
I figured we each burned about 900 calories....afterwards, I was so hungry.

I so agree with you, Body Pump is what you make of it, and if you add weight like you're supposed to, you will walk out of that class with "jelly legs"!0

Is BodyPump a video?

Thanks.

course, since you do this on your lunch hour, I don't know if there would be a class at that time, I guess it depends on where you live and how popular it is there.0 -
I do double workouts on M-T-and F...4.5 miles plus zumba and kickboxing....somedays I am bobbing for apples during class....LOL
Good job!

If that isn't a problem it's worth looking into mma, been doing that for years along with hapkido and some judo..great core workouts all of them0

Sounds like a blast! The other day I did
20 minutes rowing
20 minutes running
45 minutes eliptical on intervals
30 minutes treadclimber
and finished off with a nice 20 minute bike ride!
I had to burn calories so I could go out and drink with my friends that night! Gives a whole new meaning to "what's my motivation?"!0 -
That's an awesome routine!!!! May have to try it next week.......Thanks,

I'm inspired -- I might tackle your routine tomorrow. I love a good long workout once in a while -- the kind that makes you feel like you would die if you had to walk up a flight of stairs after the workout.
Another good one:
80 minutes on any cardio machine BUT every 8 minutes you jump off and do 50 reps of whatever your weights workout is, using LIGHT weights (so 8 minutes on the treadmill, then 50 bicep curls, 8 minutes on the treadmill then 50 front raises, etc.). The whole thing takes about 2 hours and it's awesoe.
I'm lucky that The Rock works out at my gym -- sometimes I copy his routines...tee hee.0 -
wow great routines!!!!
Mine during the week are usually just 45 mins of turbojam daily, then weekend I kick it up w/ weights and maybe a run too each day....I love the idea of changin it up every 10-20 mins....it makes what your doing not so boring and gives you a mental break too...like okay this will be over soon...even though the next thing could be worse...its like a ride at a park LOL....cool!
you guys gave me some good goals for this week!
and lol@wanderlinglight, I'd be copying the Rock's routine too, so funny!
hugs!0 -

I have stepped up my cardio too for the last 2 1/2 weeks - 1 hour jogging on treadmill, straight onto the bike for 1 hour, then strength training (different area each day), but always legs included, it's a killer but already worth it!! I must admit reading everyones lists made me change the routine you all sound so fit!0

OMG.....1hr on the treadmill........
THAT'S MOTIVATION!!!!0
